Exciting and brilliant for angels and demons book

Exciting and brilliant

Dan Brown manages to fascinate the reader from the beginning.
The book will be boring at any point and contains a good mix of carefully prepared story and action, this is also in depth and provides good entertainment with information content.
The theme of "Angels & Demons" is already interesting because the apparent conflict between science and religion is illuminated. But the etymology incidentally plays a role when the author eg. explains where the word assassin "comes from.
The actual plot will be very interesting for readers interested in science, as it is the case with me, but there are no prerequisites Vorrausgesetzt because the protagonist of the book is not Naturwissanschaftler gets delivered and therefore explanations of the scientific backgrounds. Help other customers find the most

The book is about a Harvard symbologist named Robert Langdon, who sets out on a trip in 3 countries - an exciting chase against time - this book, I could hardly put more on the start page. Nebender exciting story is researched and extremely informative, rich in information and content appreciably top. A believable story with a surprising Hollywood effect - on paper!
Robert Langdon in "The Da Vinci Code" is also the protagonist.

Exciting popcorn literature for angels and demons

This review is from:. Angels and Demons. Film Tie-In) (Paperback.
Novels by Dan Brown has only one aim, to entertain. Angels and Demon with the Dan Brown succeeds excellent. Each chapter is a little gem and at the end leaves the reader in suspense, so that one perforce must continue to read to find out how the puzzle's solution. So it is not surprising when Angels and Demons by reading in one go.

The story begins already exciting. A renowned scientist is brutally murdered in the CERN laboratory in Switzerland. On his chest, the word Illuminati is baked. This invokes Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor who deals with the decoding and interpretation of religious symbols on the plan. It will provide a clue to the murderer who has stolen especially since this dangerous anti-matter, which could put a half the city into the air. In his research operatives take Langdon and his companion Vittoria, the daughter of the deceased, to the Vatican. This is after the death of the Pope in Conclave. Four cardinals, among them are the favorite, but missing and an unknown person threatening to execute them in public places, before he intends to wipe out even the Vatican. Thus, a fast-paced treasure hunt through Rome begins, while the decoded Langdon mystery, and so the imminent downfall of the church tried to prevent.

After a few pages it is clear that Angels and Demons like a Hollywood blockbuster is constructed. The action takes place almost in real time, barely 22 hours have put the hero to the villain's activities. The pace of the story is correspondingly high and the tension never diminishes for long. Wild car races across Rome, shocking ritual murders and mysterious messages, all in the beautiful scenery of Rome and the Vatican, also convey the feeling that the script of an action film to have in your hands. Of course, one way or another explosion was inevitable. The entertainment really are no limits.

The characters are well-tried pattern to knit, intelligent, charming Harvard professor, the beautiful, tormented by guilt scientist who Camerlegno hearted through and through and of course the evil villain who is of course only the agent in a higher plan.

This recipe Dan Brown manages a truly breathtaking thriller that is exciting from page to page, so that the reader can hardly wait for the end. Of course, one suspects, after some time already how the story will proceed, but that does not detract from the book. Like in the movies, can you sit back at Angels and Demons with a bag of popcorn and sit by the story to break, because who wants to talk just is really well-served by Dan Brown. Angels and Demons is just great cinema - in book form.

Riveting, Thrilling, Suspenseful,angels and demons

Angels and Demons is one suspense packed thriller that you just can't put down! Dan Brown has managed to combine The Vatican, the secret brotherhood of the Illuminati, murder, assassins, the Swiss research facility - CERN, a Harvard symbologist, stolen antimatter, a dead priest / physicist's daughter who helped develop the antimatter, the Swiss Guard, and super high speed aircraft, (from Boston to Switzerland in 1 hour! ) all in a race against time.
This book is riveting, as the plot thickens and intensifies and I found myself "peeking" into the next chapter - something I NEVER do! The suspense was too much - but excellent! I just could not put this book down and had to let everything fall around me as I raced to finish all 430 pages! The ending will blow you totally away - and just when you think you had it all figured out - It will stun you!

I found the history of the Vatican, the information on the conclave in electing a pope, as well as all of the history, combined with the history of the Illuminati totally fascinating. My interest never waned throughout this fast-paced, compelling story. I really don't want to retell the story, as you can read it in the above editorial review.

Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor of religious iconology and Vittoria Vetra, a physicist are in a race against time to save Vatican City from a diabolical plot - revenge and hatred from the ancient brotherhood of the Illuminati against the Catholic Church. With the Pope murdered, the four favored bishops are found missing from the conclave. At precise intervals, the Illuminati inform the Vatican that the bishops will be murdered. It is up to Langdon and Vittoria to try and figure out the "clues" from the Illuminati and save the bishops. But not only are they trying to save the bishops, they are also trying to save the entire Vatican, as stolen antimatter is hidden somewhere inside the Vatican. Time is also running out as the antimatter has the capacity to level the entire city. Antimatter "is the most powerful energy source known to man. A single gram of antimatter contains the energy of a 20-kilotin nuclear bomb - the size of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima."

You will find this book totally fascinating and incredibly compelling. You easily get caught up in the story and with the factual basis of the battle between science and religion. Dan Brown had managed to interweave the two into one non-stop thriller that will take your breath away.

Check out his website as well - very interesting.

angels and demons Exciting till the end

When you start reading this book, you can't stop any more.
The chapters are quite short (3 pages, sometimes only one page) and Brown always finishes the chapter when you have reached the most exciting point.
Then he starts a new chapter and follows other persons, so you have to read the next chapter first before you can turn back to the main characters and find out what they are doing.
This is really a very clever way of writing a book.
But the story is also great: Robert Langdon, a symbologist, is thrown into this story about the Illuminati, an old secret society.
I find Brown's style very good and that he gives the reader many facts about the Illuminati and the Vatican.
There were things I didn't know and I thought that they were invented, but they are true! There are signs of the Illuminati on American dollars, for example!
I really love this book and can only say: read it!

Best of the best book

As a voracious reader, I have read the best. "Angels and Demons" is a heart-stopping thriller that keeps you turning pages until you arrive exhausted at the end. You're truly "in on the chase." Improbable as it seems, Dan Brown has combined nuclear physics and antimatter with Renaissance art, old Rome and the Vatican. You conjure up the images in your mind, but the icing on the cake is Brown's Web site which shows you the CERN facilities, the plane and then the exquisite artwork of Bernini and others as well as a peek inside the Vatican. It's a book that teaches, makes you think, and entertains, all at the same time. Few authors can accomplish that. Thanks, Dan Brown. You have a new fan.

Let angels guide you on your lofty quest...,

After having read the Da Vinci Code I ordered Angels & Demons immediately to read up on a previous mystery adventure of Robert Langdon. This time I found myself in Rome and yet again confronted with the intrigues of a dark, mysterious, ruthless secret society.... (or that's what I thought anyway.)
The pope died and all the cardinals are assembled to elect one among them as their new leader. However, the three most potential candidates are missing and Langdon accompanied by a very capable and intelligent female scientist finds himself drawn into a thrilling chain of events. Brutally murdered bodies duffed with the signs of an ancient secret society thought to be inexistent for centuries mark his way. There are a mere 6 hours left till mayday.. Breathtaking and full of good views on Rome and insights into art and science the adventure unfolds.

There's just one thing which stood me up yet again: What's up with Dan's endings? His "special-effect" endings just don't work for me.
